Despite missing out on TQ yesterday David Ronnefalk made up for it with a dominant performance today at the 4th round of the Swedish Cup. David started P1 for the final after a strong showing in his semi [B], top qualifier Daniel Reckward started first in Semi A but would end up 5th on the starting grid for the final, however he managed to finish on the podium. A strong result for the Tecnopower... powered Andreas Edvinsson who looks to be happy with his package despite being billed to race the O'Donnell engine for the 2010 season, with two 2nd place finishes at the Swedish nationals in '07 & '09 he could be a strong contender at this year's nats in a couple of weeks. At the end of the day though Ronnefalk upped his pace, he set the fastest lap in the semis (38.564) then promptly went half a second faster in the final with a 38.064. A nice result for the siblings Kennie and Keilia Ekenstierna finishing 9 and 10th respectively in the final. We believe that David has won the 2010 Swedish Cup; with two wins a 3rd place and 3 TQs (points are rewarded for TQ and Ronnefalk was awarded TQ points this weekend as Reckward doesn't have a Swedish license, being from Germany), but this is unofficial and not confirmed yet. Lastly a strong result for AKA with 10 of the finalists using AKA rubber. Linus Thern had bad end to the final, retiring after hitting a post which loosened the engine mount. Kyosho team mate Niclas Brunsberg was running in 2nd when one of his front lower arms broke putting him out .
