The stage was set for what would turn out to be an exciting Pro Buggy A main with Adam Drake starting in the TQ position and 14 other racers vying for a win. Almost the entire field of 15 buggies made it down the 240 foot straight and through the twists of the Straight Jacket. Adam Drake and Ryan Lutz ended up 1 and 2 after the first lap, and that is where it stayed for quite some time. They traded positions a few times and stayed within just a couple of seconds of each other for more than 45 of the 60 minutes of competition. Meanwhile, Ryan Lopez started 2nd, dropped to 3rd on the first lap and held the position for about 25 minutes. On the 29th lap, Mike Truhe who started 7th, closed the gap between Ryan Lopez and himself and started what was to become an epic 30 minute battle for 3rd position. Adam Drake finally began to slowly build a lead which he would never surrender to take the win with Ryan Lutz finishing 2nd, never being challenged for that position. The race for third raged on between Ryan Lopez and Mike Truhe until about 5 minutes to go when Truhe stepped out to a lead of about 15 seconds and never looked back. The 2008 Psycho Nitro Blast Pro Buggy Champion, Chad Phillips started 5th and finished 5th with a strong showing.
