Just like in truggy, the 45 minute buggy final came down to the last few laps. After initial battles between Tebo, Truhe and Maifield, Truhe led and was looking the hot candidate for the win, time after time, Tebo closed in and on-track wheel-to-wheel action ensued. This went on until 5 mins to go, when Truhe broke (suspected steering servo) - this produced further drama as the crowd thought Tebo was now going to take home victory on his birthday, however Maifield wasn't too far behind. With the disappointment of yesterday's truggy final, Maifield went on a last charge to try and fight for victory, Tebo was losing time, albeit slowly, until lap 59 where he crashed and lost about 5secs, putting Maifield right behind him. Some spectacular driving from both parties, with Maifield eventually coming out on top, capping a great weekend for Team Associated with 2 cars on the podium for buggy and truggy.
