Headline News : Crompy goes Hyper over Magic

8 time British champion David Crompton was spotted driving a Hyper 8 at this weekend's rain hit Nationals at Holbeach. We caught up with him and he confirmed he has left Team Magic for the 2007 season, and will drive the HoBao Hyper 8 for the rest of the season. Having only received the car a few days prior to the national, he qualified a respectable 3rd with it.
The move from Team Magic to the HoBao is logical, with CML distributing both cars, along with the eagerly awaitd Associated RC8, due in August. Could we see Crompton with and RC8 in late summer?

The UK has undoubtly one of the most established 1/8th racing scenes having run nationals for many years. Crompy is 8x UK champ..... says a lot. Who knows what the future could bring!

I'm running xray too this year,but my kyosho still kcks some serious but,still like my 777 's track handling over my modified TQ; working on it though. The TQ is still alot of car though ; more than a TM,wouldn't u agree?!

It is a blow to Team Magic but I am sure they will get another driver on board hopefully someone from the U.S.

Europe has the most established scene with many good drivers, they need another good Euro driver in my opinion. Perhaps not British, somewhere more continental.
