Bio:

It all started with my family… competing was in everyone’s blood from my great great grandfather to my parents who both raced motorcycles (mother on road; father both on road and off road). Shortly after I was born my father had an accident that made him stop racing but not lose the taste for it. Having a son and wanting to go back racing one day he went by a RC shop and thought it might be a safe way to get back racing for him and also his son… so I had my first RC car at the age of 6 and did my first race at 7. Since then I have done all kinds of RC racing from Electric to Gas… on road to off road… almost everywhere in the world.

In my first R/C years I raced electrics…when I started attending some international races I realized that at that time racing electrics at the top level was not possible without being a factory driver. I then tried 1/10 On Road Touring and in 1996 I became the first and only Mugen until then to reach a final at the European Championship… finishing 6th, after being in 3rd before running out of battery. My next and biggest challenge was going to 1/8 Off Road, in 1997, to be able to have a place in 1998 World Championship in Portugal. Having got that spot as number one driver from Portugal i was able to qualify in 3rd and finish last on the final after being in first and having my engine ceased 10 minutes into the race. From that moment on one of my main objectives has been to win the World Championship… but not only… from then to now I raced on several tracks, attended many international events, had the support of different brands… which allowed me to win several races, to attend a large number of finals in international events and to become European Champion in 2003.

Having and overcome mechanical problems has been my biggest challenge over the past years especially after 2005 when I started racing without my father support on the track. I started doing all the mechanic part myself which also made me grow as a RC Driver… despite this what I really enjoy is driving and I hope I can do it for more years to come.
