Sweden: new track in Hässleholm

The Hässleholms RC Buggy Klubb have announced the opening of their new track in Hässleholm, South of Sweden. Located at 1 hour 15 minutes from Copenhagen AirPort, the 377-meter long track features a nice layout with many jumps, elevation changes, raised corners and to different surfaces with dirt and astro/carpet. Big events are expected in the future and the quality of the facility will attract national and international drivers for sure!

Management change for the 15th anniversary of the NCT

The Northwest Championship Tour (NCT), a premier organization of outdoor off- road RC racing events in Washington, Oregon & Idaho within the United States, announced a management change ahead of their 15th Anniversary season. Newly named President Mike Dana said, “I’m super excited and honored to be back at the helm of the Northwest Championship Tour. While I’ve been in this position before as the series founder, Justin Wilde left huge shoes to fill as he did an incredible job over the past 8 years as the series Director. We have lots of work to do in very short order, but I have the utmost confidence in my newly appointed team of Randy Sides as my VP – Marketing & Public Relations & Jason Walters as my Media & Public Relations Manager to support the racers of the series, the individual tracks that host the races and showcase to the world what outdoor off-road racing in the Northwest is all about.” The 2018 NCT Management Team consists of:

Speed RC Raceway closes their doors

Scott Speed and TJ Bell from Speed RC Raceway have announced that they closed the doors of their facility. Scott and TJ have been trying for three years to develop their business by offering an indoor track that has hosted many events and a shop. Unfortunately the crisis in our industry will significantly reduce their activity to the point of having to close the indoor track. They stated:

Rc Tracks of Las Vegas close their doors

A few hours ago Rc Tracks of Las Vegas owner David Taliaferro and then Rc Tracks of Las Vegas co-owner Chris Tocco have published a sad news: the track is closed … definitely. The news is a huge surprise especially after the success of the 2016 IFMAR Worlds and events such as the Silver State and Kyosho Marters over a period of only 3 years which foreshadowed years to follow even more successful. We will not forget the time spent last year in Vegas, nor the crew who welcomed us for a World which now even more special. The closure would follow the sale of the sports center for the construction of a water park and a hotel.

Silver Dollar R/C Raceway now has a carpet track

Come on out to Chico, California and witness AMain Hobbies newest addition to the Silver Dollar R/C Raceway. AMain now have a 10th scale carpet track. This weekend over 150 drivers attended the weekend race.

Fear Farm RC is in trouble and needs your help!

We received the following statement from Phoenix AZ racing community today announcing that Fear Farm RC is in trouble and ask for your help.

“A new disgruntled racer in the Phoenix AZ racing community has turned us in to the City of Phoenix for the drivers stands, and RD timing tower structure at fear farm. The facility failed to meet a few of the updated codes (last inspection was 2013) that meet ADA standards for the handicap accessible ramp, and a few other safety codes that have been updated within the last 4 years, and the facility is shut down until everything meets code and is approved for permits.
