Rc Tracks of Las Vegas close their doors

A few hours ago Rc Tracks of Las Vegas owner David Taliaferro and then Rc Tracks of Las Vegas co-owner Chris Tocco have published a sad news: the track is closed … definitely. The news is a huge surprise especially after the success of the 2016 IFMAR Worlds and events such as the Silver State and Kyosho Marters over a period of only 3 years which foreshadowed years to follow even more successful. We will not forget the time spent last year in Vegas, nor the crew who welcomed us for a World which now even more special. The closure would follow the sale of the sports center for the construction of a water park and a hotel.

Pattaya buggy track rising from the ashes

In late 2015, the famous Pattaya buggy track in Thailand was closed down. Since then, nature has reclaimed its rights and this place that had welcomed the Worlds in 2010 was abandoned and the races of the past seemed only a distant memory. Following a hard work from the Pitstop Rc crew,  the track has been brought back to life and is under new management in 2017. The track is ready and will welcome the “Pattaya Buggy International Challenge” this summer. For more info click here.

RBR36 Arena to close

RBR36 Arena have announced on Facebook that the iconic Spanish indoor RC Racing facility will unfortunately close down and is unlikely ever to open again. RBR36 Arena have been launched more than 2 years ago by the world champion Robert Batlle and consisted of two tracks, onroad and offroad and a shop in the heart of Barcelona.

Sadly it seems the business is not working fine since some time ago and despite calls for help from Robert to save the situation he did not receive the support needed to hope to continue in good conditions. This sad news confirms the questionable health of the RC business which even offering a promising indoor track facility has not managed to survive 🙁
