Rudy Rico & Tekno take two JBRL Series titles

Rudy Rico secured the overall win in the Expert 4wd Short Course and Electric 1/8 Scale classes at the 2015 JBRL series, defending his 2014 titles in the same classes. This year the prestigious JBRL Electric Series traveled to eight California tracks over seven months and averaged over 200 entries per round. Rudy was able to win or podium in 15 of the 16 A mains with the new Tekno RC SCT410.3 and EB48.3 vehicles. Tekno RC teammate, Carlos Arredondo, also finished with impressive results this year taking many podiums spots in both classes.

“I had a great season at the JBRL 2015 and I was able to take 3 championships in 4wd SC, 1/8th scale buggy, and 4wd modified buggy. It was a tough year with tons of competition in each class. My Tekno Sct410.3 and EB48.3 were consistent all year and helped me to win the championships. I couldn’t have done it without my sponsors: Tekno RC, Tekin, MIP, Venom, and Schelle.”

Tamar Schäfer finishes off Swiss Championship with a win

This past weekend hosted the final round of the Swiss Short Course Championship. Intech Racing’s Tamar Schäfer would finish off the season in winning form, taking the overall win for the round. His win did not come easy, as a hard charging Martin Weidmann and teammate Tyas Wuillemin kept the racing close throughout the finals. Weidmann would finish second overall, with Wuillemin third.

Outback Raceway presents 5th Annual JConcepts ‘Fall Brawl’

It is that time of year again; AMain Performance Hobbies’ Outback Raceway presents the 5th Annual 2015 JConcepts’ “Fall Brawl” Nov 7-8th. As in years past, this year’s Brawl will take place on an all-new layout, featuring the best grip west of the Rockies. All AMain Performance Hobbies races are run using an accurate event timetable so you know exactly when your race is up. For 2015, we are keeping the “Buggy Brawl” format, which provided for some great triple A-main racing. We will be using IFMAR/stagger start qualifying to ensure everyone has an opportunity to put in their best runs. Many of you are probably wondering what is “Buggy Brawl”? 40+ Stock, Stock, Pro Stock Buggy and Open 2wd Buggy and Open 4wd Buggy will run triple A-mains this year, with 8 seeded directly from qualifying with two bump-ups coming from the B-main. What’s at stake? We’ll have several divisions including: Buggy Brawl, SeniorWeight (40+ Stock ), LightWeight (Stock), Welterweight (Pro Stock), Heavyweight (Open 2wd Buggy) and Super Heavyweight (Open 4wd Buggy) Championship titles.
