Urban & Pavlus win at Slovakian Nats Rd4

Fourth round of the Slovakian 1/10th Off-road Nationals was held in Košice, Slovakia. The track was suitably prepared. Roman Pavlus (XRAY) took the overall TQ in both the 2WD Buggy and 4WD Buggy. Adam Urban (XRAY) was able to take the win in the 2WD Buggy class from R.Pavlus in second and Tomáš Dankovčík in third.

Juan-Carlos Canas TQs & wins at Cadiz Regional champs Rd1

The opening round of the Cadiz Regional championships was held at the Club Radiocontrol El Estrecho track in Spain. Juan Carlos Canas (SWORKZ/REDS Racing/Merlin/6MIK) would sweep the Nitro Buggy class, taking the overall TQ and win in the 45-minute final by 2 laps in front of Alberto Peláez Gámez (HB Racing/Performa Racing/6MIK) in second and David Todd Nieto (Mugen Seiki/Ultimate Engines) in third.

HNMC COVID Summer Rd2 report

The second round of the HNMC COVID Summer was held in the UK over the weekend. The HNMC club is managing the Covid race period with reduced numbers to help with all the restrictions to improve safety for everyone. This round saw 53 competitors ready to battle it out on a damp drying track only three rounds as delay to the weather. Callum Niblett (XRAY) took the overall TQ in Nitro Buggy while Karl Jackson (XRAY) set the TQ in E-Buggy and Paul Fitzpatrick in Truggy. C.Niblett came out on top in the Nitro Buggy final from Lewis Jones (Team Associated/Alpha Plus/Alpha Fire Power Pro Fuel/JConcepts) in second and Dylan Saunders (Team Associated/Bullitt Engines/Piranha Fuel/Pro-Line Racing) in third.

Joona Haatanen wins at Finnish Open Series Rd3

Third round of Finnish Open Series was held this past weekend. After really tight battle for the TQ spot in the qualifying between Joseph Quagraine (JQ Racing/Ultimate Engines/Procircuit), Joona Haatanen (Team Associated/Reedy/JConcepts), Pekko Iivonen (Schumacher Racing/LRP) and Ari Heinonen in the Nitro Buggy class it was JQ who set the overall TQ but he would not be able to convert the Top Qualifier spot into a win as J.Haatanen brought home the win from P.Iivonen in 2nd and JQ in 3rd.

Max Götzl doubles at Czech Open Series Rd3

The 3rd round of the Czech Open Series was held last weekend at the new race track in Horne Jeleni. A heavy rain on Friday afternoon as well as Saturday early morning required a great deal of work to the crew to get the track ready for the race. Max Götzl (XRAY/FX Engines/Hobbywing/Sunpadow/Hot Race Tires) won the Semi A with about 3-lap over the driver in second to secure the pole for the final, followed by Tomáš Kapička (Kyosho) and Radim Kolek (Team Associated/Ultimate Engines). The rain began to fall in the middle of the final but it didn’t stop M.Götzl who took the win with a huge gap over T.Kapička in 2nd and Jan Hujer in 3rd.

Mattia Polito TQs & wins at Trofeo AZ Pro RC Shop race

The first edition of the Trofeo AZ Pro RC Shop race was held at the Min Autodromo “Le Risorgive” track in Oderzo, Italy. Mattia Polito (Kyosho/O.S.Engines/Energy/AKA) was the man to beat, taking the overall TQ and win in the Nitro Buggy final in front of Leonardo Valente (SWORKz/REDS Racing/Pirahna/Energy/TPro) in second and Gianmarco Franzolini (TLR/Alpha/Top RC/Pro-Line Racing) in third.

Davide Onagro sweeps Tommygarage Champs

A round of the Tommygarage Championship was held at the La Rampa Off Road track in Monte Urano, Italy. Davide Ongaro (Team Associated/LRP/AKA) would sweep the Nitro Buggy class. The World Champion took the overall TQ and took a commanding victory in the final by from Niko Flamini (HB Racing/REDS Racing) in second whilst Dario Gabrielli (Mugen Seiki/REDS Racing/Meccafuel/Hot Race Tires) came in third.

Burak Kilic wins at Polish Off-road Nats Rd2

The second round of the Polish Off-road National Championships was held in Wolsztyn this past weekend in the 1/8th and 1/10th classes. Michal Orlowski (Schumacher/LRP), who was out running his second ever race in the Nitro Buggy class was able to take the overall TQ by winning there out of four rounds of qualifying. Unfortunately in the 45-minute final, M.Orlowski had a small crash which caused a flame out just before the loop. The 1/10th Buggy specialist lost almost 2 laps but he managed to get back in third, behind the Mugen Seiki duo of Burak Kilic (Mugen Seiki/Ninja/Nitrolux/Procircuit), the winner and his brother Berkan Kilic (Mugen Seiki/Ninja/Nitrolux/Procircuit) in second.
