JQ on THE Dirt’s track

Finland’s most famous export (after Kimi) has been busy on the keyboard during and after last weekend’s Dirt Nitro Challenge, most recently sharing his thoughts on a track some top pros called the hardest they’ve raced on.

There was a lot of crying and complaining about the track at DNC. A lot of tears were shed, a lot of feelings were hurt, a tremendous amount of arms were smashed, believe me.

I have given the organisers a hard time for the fact that they forgot to organise. I still haven’t seen results from the race. I probably never will. But The Dirt crew have one thing going for them. The track.

I feel like there were a few years where Joey got a bit lazy with the track. You arrived and thought, “that’s it, really?”. However, the last couple of years, the tracks have been really good, and specially this one.

Re-Watch last year’s Final

Exclusive Interview with Ty Tessmann

“If you ain’t first, you’re last!”

Ty Tessmann’s winter-switch from HB Racing to XRAY was probably the biggest news over the off-season, at times even unseating Donald Trump from the headlines. We sit down with the Canadian star to talk about his biggest career change to date.

Let’s start with the elephant in the room Ty, you have left a winning team, having personally finished on the podium at each of the last 3 Worlds with HB, talk us through the hottest news story this winter!

We have been with HB for 12 years and developed a lot of platforms with them in that time, we have had many successes with them.  I won’t say that we felt that we were getting into a rut, but we just felt that we needed a change and new challenges, we wish the best for everyone at HB Racing. We are excited for what the future holds and we are committed to taking Xray to the top.

Feature: HB Racing’s team of two World Champions

Whilst reflecting on last week’s Vegas Worlds, one cannot help but admire HB’s achievements; taking 3 of the last 5 World Championships.

Equal to Mugen Seiki on the all time list – a fantastic achievement whichever way you angle it for a company that young – Not to mention one that has undergone huge transitions over the past year, rising from the ashes of the HPI racing.

For new World Champion David Ronnefalk one can draw a few parallels of his move from Kyosho to HB to that of Formula One’s Lewis Hamilton, switching from ‘childhood team’ McLaren to the lesser fancied Mercedes AMG F1.
