Vampire Racing is proud to announce the new even turn Type AB+ V2 brushless motor series. Building on the winning heritage of the conventional half turn motor the new .0 series offers a fully rebuildable EFRA-legal design with separate stator unit, duo-balanced and Titanium-Nitride coated ‘black shaft’ rotor, replaceable rubber-sealed precision sensor unit and oversized high-quality ball bearings. The motors come with the recently introduced updated endbells and are available as 4.0T, 5.0T, 6.0T, 7.0T and 8.0T variant.

Vampire Racing have designed a new V2 update package for the popular Type AB+ V2 brushless modified motors. All new motors supplied from now will include this update already in the box, and end users who have an existing Type AB+ V2 motor will receive this package totally free of charge, a decision made by Vampire to ensure that everyone has the very most up to date spec motor and that their existing one is not “out of date” so soon after purchase like with many other manufacturers.

Last weekend saw the final round of the Austrian 1/10h Electric Buggy Nationals at the Steyregg track. Vampire Racing’s Rene Trauner (Yokomo) took the win both in 2WD and 4WD and this secured him the 2013 national title, again in both classes. Vampire Racing team mate Stefan Pfeifhofer (Team Associated) ends the season in second place in 2WD and 4WD making for a perfect 1-2 finish for Vampire Racing.

Multiple Portuguese National Champion, former European Champion and multiple European and World Championship podium finisher Miguel Matias recently joined the Vampire Racing factory team through to 2014 to run the company’s 1/10th and 1/8th brushless motor and speed controllers along the Vampire Racing line of high performance LiPo battery packs. Miguel already used the components during the 1/10th Buggy Euros and the recent Neo Race with great success.

New from Vampire Racing comes a LiPo receiver battery packs for 1/8th and 1/10th scale nitro vehicles. Available as standard-size 2500mAh hump and 2300mAh straight pack the 2S packs offer a voltage of 7.4V ideal for the new breed of HV-compatible receivers and servos. The semi-hardcase packs come with a protective inner shield and sport a stealthy black heat shrink tube for cool looks and best possible protection of the cells in all racing conditions. Both battery packs are pre-wired with a balancer connector and JR/Futaba-compatible universal plug.

The last weekend saw the third round of the BRCA electric 1/8th off-road nationals and it was Vampire Racing’s Simon Willets who brought home the win for Vampire Racing. He used a prototype of the Vampire Racing SR8 PLUS 1/8th speed controller and Type 0- 1/8th brushless motor to take home the win.

Based on the experience gained with the original Type AB+ motors the new V2 offers easier maintenance, increased performance and a cool new look. Designed to meet current IFMAR, EFRA and ROAR rules the Type AB+ V2 is of a fully rebuildable design with separate stator unit and features a new duo-balanced and Titanium-Nitride coated ‘black shaft’ rotor, a replaceable rubber-sealed precision sensor unit and oversized high-quality ball bearings. The motors will come in a range of windings including 6.5T. 7.5T and 8.5T with an on-road specific 4.5T and 5.5T variant will become available soon.

Jirka already used Vampire Racing equipment as a customer and will now receive full factory support during his campaign. Vampire Racing is proud to announce the latest addition to their factory racing team in the form of UK super star and 1/8th EFRA IC buggy European Champion Darren Bloomfield. Driving for Team Losi Racing, Darren will use Vampire Racing’s full line electric components such as the upcoming AB+ V2 brushless motors, SR1+ controllers and the company’s latest LiPo competition batteries. The Briton already achieved the first race victory for his new sponsor by TQ’ing and winning the recent Off Road Wars race at Maritime Racing leaving Jörn Neumann and Lee Martin behind.
