Ryan LeCuyer appointed as new SOAR USA assistant Team Manager

Soar Speedbull USA have appointed Ryan LeCuyer as the new assistant Team Manager. R.LeCuyer will be working under Jeremy Moser the teams National Manager and will assist in media presence, brand recognition, recruiting new talent and many more activities. He has been put in place to continue to grow this new and highly competitive 1/8 scale Soar Racing program. R.LeCuyer is very excited to be working under the direction of Nate Johnston and J.Moser. He is well known in the Southern US region and looks forward to working his way around local and large events in the South East Region of the United States. R.LeCuyer has stated that he is more the enthralled with the opportunity presented. He has been racing RC Models for over 15 years and has been involved in the hobby for 20 plus years. R.LeCuyer has a great trackside deminer and is willing and able to help any racer or RC enthusiast on or off the track. He has donated time to many tracks over the years and cares deeply for his local RC community.

Soar Speedbull Cup announcement

The first edition of the Soar Speedbull Cup will be held from 18 to 19 August of August in Ratchaburi, Thailand. Drivers around the world including from USA will be will attend the inaugural event that will be run in Nitro Buggy, Nitro Truggy, E-buggy and Monster Truck.

ROAR Region 4 Champs report

The ROAR Region 4 Off Road Championships were held at Southside RC Raceway – host of the 2018 ROAR Nationals in Lake City, Florida. In 40+ Nitro Buggy and 1/8 Pro Buggy SOAR’s Gene ‘the machine’ Hickerson was able to secure the overall TQ in both classses while in Pro Truggy it was Chris Marrant who grabbed the TQ. Hickerson had an amazing weekend and finished on the podium in all 3 classes with a 4th in Pro Buggy, 3rd in Pro Truggy, and 1st Place in 40+ Nitro Buggy. Marrant made the A-main in Pro Buggy, Pro E-Buggy, and finished 2nd Place in Pro Truggy.

Jason Huang wins at Zhunan Cup

The 10th annual Zhunan Cup was held in Taiwan. SOAR driver Jason Huang who used the forthcoming 998 TD1R nitro buggy with the coming soon Speedbull engine took the win two laps ahead James racing’s Sam Chen, in second.
