Serpent have introduced the new Spyder SRX-2 Gen3 2wd buggy. The Spyder SRX-2 Gen3 has been completely re-designed from the ground up. The customers, racers, and fan favorite trolls have shared their glories, opinions, and pains about the previous SRX-2’s. Serpent were open minded and willing to meet every expectation to push the boundaries of their product and the 1/10 2wd market. The new SRX-2 needed to be slimmer, stylish, tougher, easier to work on, and above all else Faster. With over 85% of the parts being new, all the while, still being able to use most all previous SRX-2 parts, this car is an absolute masterpiece of construction. You can build it to any configuration you wish, new and/or old.

Serpent have released a teaser image of the forthcoming Spyder SRX2 Gen3 2WD buggy. No information about the new kit have leaked in the wake but detailed images and information about the vehicle should become available very soon.

Pilot RC Products 1/10 buggy Orbit ceramic bearings

Pilot RC Products have expanded their range of Orbit ceramic bearings with new sets of the Team Associated B6.1/T6.1/SC6.1/B74, TLR 22 5.0/22T 4.0, Yokomo YZ-4 SF/YZ-2/YZ-2T, Kyosho RB7/ZX7 and Serpent Spyder SRX-2 MM. Orbit bearings are precision crafted and produced from highest grade materials governing them the ABEC rating grade 7. Grade 7 rated bearings provide a higher tolerance and a deviation of 5 μm. (0.000197 inch), allowing better performance at high RPM’s. Orbit bearings feature stainless steel rings, Si3N4 ceramic balls and metal shields. These bearings come pre-oiled with 1up clear bearing oil for ultra free bearings and increased drivetrain efficiency. Included with each bearing kit is a complimentary bottle of 1up clear bearing lube to ensure your Orbit bearings remain properly lubed.

T-Work’s SRX8 EVO stainless steel chassis protectors

T-Work’s have introduced new stainless steel chassis protectors for the Serpent SRX8 EVO. Made from strong stainless steel, they are made to protect the chassis from becoming excessively scratched or damaged on abrasive surfaces. The stainless steel chassis protectors are available in set of two for front and rear.

RC Cars Cavalieri SRX8 carbon fibre option parts

RC Cars Cavalieri have introduced a range of carbon fibre option parts for the Serpent Cobra SRX8. Machined from high-quality carbon fibre, the range consist of front and rear shock towers, an air filter guard as well as 0.5mm an 1.0mm arm inserts.

After three years of partnership, Shin Adachi have announced his departure from Serpent. For the meantime, there is no information to let us know who will be its new sponsor will be but if the rumor about Ryan Cavalieri at Yokomo is true, could Yokomo soon unveil his first 1/8 Nitro Buggy?

Serpent SDX4 aluminium steering crank set

Serpent have introduced a new aluminium steering crank set for the Spyder SDX4. Machined from black anodised aluminium, the parts are full ball bearing supported. Compared to the plastic stock steering crank, the aluminium steering cranks offer a heavy duty design and provide super smooth, wobble free steering motion and long lasting performance in particular on high bite track conditions.

Carlos Duraes crowned Portuguese Nitro Buggy champion

The fifth round of the Portuguese Nitro Buggy Championship was held at the Clube Radiomodelismo Freixedas track over the weekend. Carlos Duraes (Serpent) managed to take the overall TQ and in the 45 minutes final he brought home the win from Goncalo Melo (TLR) in second while Ricardo Monteiro (Mugen) came in third. Thanks to the win, C.Duraes took the Portuguese title.
