Cody King teams up with Serpent

Serpent have announced thr signing of former World Champion Cody King to their team. Cody will use all Cobra 1/8 nitro and electric vehicles as well as the Spyder 1/10 cars in 2wd and 4wd in all the major races in USA and abroad including The Neo Race 2018 and the IFMAR WC. Cody will works closely together with Serpent’s off-road designer Billy Easton, and with Serpent team drivers. Also Cody will help to promote the Serpent product linefor Serpent America.

Serpent SDX4 V2 carbon fibre shock towers

Serpent have introduced two V2 carbon fibre shock towers for the Spyder SDX4. These improved front and rear shock towers are made from high quality carbon fibre and feature optimised up travel, camber link settings that are a bit more spaced , four shock angle holes and an optimized droop. The V2 carbon fibre shock towers are available separately now.

Stefano Lorenzini joins Serpent

Serpent have announced the signing of talented driver Stefano Lorenzini to their italian team. Stefano will use and promote the Cobra SRX8 EVO at the official Italian championship as well as major GP’s in Europe. Italian Serpent distributor STAR-RC is still looking for more highly motivated buggy drivers in Italy to create a stronger off-road team. Please contact them if you’re interested.

Cody King already back in business?

About a month ago, former world champion Cody King made a statement that looked like a retirement. The “personal reasons” that kept him away from the tracks seem an old history if we take into account rumors about his come back. The rumor had first put us on the trail of JQ Racing, Joseph Quagraine may be interested in Cody to form a duet of world champions with Greg Degani but since things have changed, if we believe the new rumor:

Cody would have signed with Serpent as driver but also as West Coast representative.

That would be a good news for Cody and everyone who cares about him after the hardships he has just been through. See you for an official announcement soon? 😉

Jeffrey Halsema doubles at Winter is Coming race

This past weekend was held the third edition of the Winter is Coming race at Mach-one Helmond track in The Netherlands. The event attracted a strong attendance of fastest Dutch drivers as well as German aces such as Carsten Keller and Matthias Reckward. In nitro buggy it was Dutch Serpent driver Jeffrey Halsema who set the TQ and take the win from Sander Van Genechten in second and XRAY driver Jarno Pijpers in third. Jeffrey also won in E-buggy in front of Sander Van Genechten.

Marius Kristensen teams up with Serpent

Serpent have announced the signing of talented driver Marius Kristensen to their SPT team. The Norwegian driver gives his feedback from testing on all sort of tracks in Norway and outside. Marius cooperates effectively with designer Billy Easton, team manager Tony Evdoka and Pontus Larsson and he also helps Serpent Norway exclusive distributor Elefun as needed.

Pontus Larsson teams up with Serpent

Serpent have announced the signing of swedish driver Pontus Larsson to their team. The young and highly talented driver has been racing with the Cobra SRX8 and SRX8E in the 2017 season in several regional and national races and he attended the Euro as well. Pontus will also use this winter the Spyder SRX2 Team and the Spyder SDX4 in regional and national races as well as DHI. Here is a brief interview from serpent talking with Pontus:

Serpent SRX8 & SRX8E aluminium rear uprights V2

Serpent have introduced new version of their rear uprights for the Cobra SRX8 and SRX8E. Machined from 7075 T6 aluminium, they come black coated with machined edges and SPT logo is laser engraved. The rear uprights feature a molded insert through which the roll center can be changed fast and easy. The uprights come in a set of two with inserts.
