Serpent SRX8 & SRX8E aluminium rear uprights V2

Serpent have introduced new version of their rear uprights for the Cobra SRX8 and SRX8E. Machined from 7075 T6 aluminium, they come black coated with machined edges and SPT logo is laser engraved. The rear uprights feature a molded insert through which the roll center can be changed fast and easy. The uprights come in a set of two with inserts.

Serpent mixes up clutch shoes

Serpent have introduced a 4-shoe clutch set for the Cobra 811 and SRX8. The set is made up of two yellow material shoes and two black shoes made in 6061 aluminium. Also the set includes two 0.95mm springs and two 0.9mm springs. Billy Easton said:

Carlos Durães TQs & Wins at Portuguese Nats Rd4

This past weekend was held the round four of the Portuguese Nationals at Freixedas track, “home” of the forthcoming Euros in 2018. Serpent driver Carlos Durães would sweep the nitro buggy class. Carlos took the overall TQ and then a commanding victory in the final by two laps from Kyosho’s Joao Figueiredo whilst TLR’s Goncalo Melo rounded out the top 3 a further lap down. The fifth and last round of the Portuguese Nationals will be held next month and we will be then who will be crowned new Portuguese champion.

Serpent SRX8 & SRX8-E anti-roll bar wires

Serpent have expanded their Serpent Performance Team range of anti-roll bars for the SRX8 and SRX8-E. Eight high quality spring steel anti-roll bars are available, 2.2mm, 2.4mm, 2.6mm and 2.8mm for the front and rear. They are laser engraved for easy identification and only available separately.

Serpent SRX8-EVO centre driveshaft dog bones & adapters

Serpent have introduced centre driveshaft and dog bones for the Cobra SRX8 EVO. First up are the centre driveshaft dog bones, they are made from 7076 T6 aluminium and come black anodised with durable steel pins. They are about 50% lighter than the standard spring steel parts. With reduced rotational mass, accelleration and braking are improved. The centre driveshaft dog bones can also be used with the Cobra SRX8 which has CVD units as standard. They are available in spring steel or aluminium materials.

Marius Kristensen crowned Norway 2WD & 4WD champion

The last round of the Norway 1/10 championship was held in Oslo Hvervenbukta. In 2WD it was Team Associated Joackim Nicolaisen who took the overall TQ by winning all three qualifying rounds followd by Serpent’s Marius Kristensen and AE driver Andreas Sandgrind. In the first Main Joackim and Marius drives away from the field. However Joakim made a small mistake so Marius took over the first spot a couple of laps but then Marius made a mistake at the straight allowing Joackim to take A1. In the A2 final Joackim opens a gap on the field with Marius and young Andreas Sandgrind behind.

Serpent SPT T-shirt & hat

Serpent have introduced new black SPT t-shirt and SPT hat. First up is the SPT T-shirt featuring a large “Serpent Performance Team” graphic on the front, which allows space to add additionals sponsors as needed and on the rear a nice smaller Serpent Racing team logo. The T-shirt comes in the most common sizes from XS to 3XL, and are made off a nice fitting cotton-nylon mix. Also new is the SPT hat a black Flexfit with STP logo on the front and a 10x World Champion on the visor.

Serpent Cobra SRX8-EVO coming soon

Coming soon from Serpent is the updated version of the Cobra SRX8 1/8 nitro buggy called EVO. Serpent bring the specs already seen on with the Cobra SRX8-E buggy and implement some performance enhancing parts. Full details will be released next week, EVO kits will be shipping end august 2017.
