Carlos Huertas joins Serpent

Serpent have announced the addition of Carlos Huertas from the Valencia area to their Spanish team. The former SWORKz driver will use the Cobra SRX8 Pro at Regional as well as the National Championship for the remainder of the 2020 season.

Serpent SRX8-TE 1/8th E-truggy kit

After the introduction of the long awaited SRX8-T, Serpent have released the new SRX8-TE 1/8th E-truggy kit. Taking the base of the SRX8-T, Serpent have retain all the key factors such as the reliability, durability, ease of assembly as well as maintenance, coupled with all new suspension geometry. Using all of Serpent’s high-quality metals, plastics and rubber, the new E-truggy performs more compared to its predecessor, providing more durability, ease of driving and better handling on the track. The SRX8-TE features a 4mm 7075-T6 aluminum flat chassis to provide the most flexible design and helping to prevent traction rolls, a versatile motor mount made from 7075-T6 aluminum, a 10t pinion with a 46t ring gear ratio, SRX8 differentials, 16mm threaded shocks with extremely tough 3.5mm shock shafts, “Pro “cap giving maximum versatility can be used as emulsion or bladder shocks, all in one cap, Delrin 6-hole pistons, front and rear suspension arms with arm plates, sway bars with captured pivot-ball design and a receiver box that can be mounted in multiple locations depending on the layout you wish to use. The SRX8-TE can be used with 2S and 4S LiPo batteries. The lower plastic mount is securely fixed to the chassis and mounted directly to the surface to ensure lowest possible CG. The Velcro straps are supplied in the kit and the Serpent logo is embossed on them. The 7075-T6 aluminum shock towers are a 5mm thick and come machined and then anodized to give them an even more durable finish. Carbon fiber shock towers are also available as option parts. The Truggy features also 15 degree caster blocks with steering blocks machined from 7075-T6 aluminum anodized in black, and re-machined to have a stylish shiny silver edge. The steering arms accepts 5 different Ackermann plates. 0,1,2,3,4. The body looks rough, tough and stylish, fit for a real Truggy.

Serpent SRX2 Gen3 aluminium clamping servo horns

Serpent have introduced new aluminium clamping servo horns for the Spyder SRX2 Gen3. the single sided servo horn is made of high-quality aluminium for a great precision, rigidity and durability and comes grey anodized with silver chamfer edges. The servo horn features a clamp type design that grips the servo’s output shaft so if the retainer screw comes loose, the horn will have a better chance of remaining in place. The aluminium clamping servo horns are available in 23T and 25T splines and include a button head screw.

RC Carbon Cavalieri glossy carbon fibre front scoops

German company RC Carbon Cavalieri have introduced two new glossy carbon front scoops, one version dedicated for Mugen Seiki, Team Associated, SWORKz, Hobao, and Serpent buggies and another version designed for HB Racing, Team Losi Racing, JQRacing, XRAY and Agama buggies. Also made of high-quality carbon fibre such as the former version, the updated version features a glossy varnish offering a more attractive look as well as greater durability. The scoops include a mounting screw and a drill bit for the mounting hole.

Serpent have released a teaser image of the forthcoming SRX8 Nitro Truggy. No information about the new kit have leaked in the wake but detailed images and information about the Truck should become available very soon.

Serpent Spyder SRX2 Gen3 Carpet 2WD buggy kit

Serpent have introduced the new Spyder SRX2 Gen3 Carpet Edition 2WD buggy kit. Based on the completely re-designed SRX2 Gen3, the ‘Carpet Edition’ comes with a gear differential as well as front and rear anti-roll bars. As the SRX2 Gen3, the Carpet Edition buggy features 85% of new parts compared to the previous SRX2 and sports a slim and stylish design, more durability and a mechanical access designed to save time and facilitate the maintenance.
