Discarding the mundane clears new paths of inspiration, and enables things like Nanofox to happen. Stealth facets that define FTW style are fused with Grand Prix inspiration to cloak an all-business forward cab and impossibly low profile side pods with epic style. Like all FTW body shells, fitment is immaculate and most popular electronic suites are easily housed inside. The unique side pod profiles provide an ideally positioned air inlet opportunity. Nanofox fits Kyosho’s RB6 1:10 scale off-road buggy in both mid- and rear- motor configurations, and includes molded cut lines for each configuration. Nanofox is formed from clear .030” polycarbonate with protective outer film and includes two .040 Fulcrum wings, a decal sheet, and window masks.
After creating the first ever bodyshell tailor-made for a Tekno, Exabyte for V4 conversions, FTW were stoked to apply their style to Tekno’s fully proprietary EB48. Their design lab responded to the packaging challenges presented by this compact buggy with a fusillade of style and functionality. The fresh iteration of the Exabyte design language sports a pair of vertical stabilizers emerging from the sloping roofline while carefully sculpted lines sweep back from the front cooling inlets to enhance the sleek shape. For optimal cooling, the front inlets are complemented by an open rear body area.
The 2013 King of the Hill race took place recently in White Rock NM which saw Scottie Brewer claim TQ in both buggy and truggy before going on to win the buggy class, place third in truggy and second in the 4WD SCT class.
Performance packaged in convention-smashing style defines FTW’s philosophy. The iconic Night Fox design has illustrated this while winning races across the globe, and now the FTW labs have tailored it to fit Kyosho’s MP9 TKI3. With the suite of refinements unleashed in the recent XB9 2013 Spec fitment, the newest Night Fox takes the world-class MP9 to new heights of style and performance.
Skip the masking, spraying, and waiting for paint to dry–just trim and go with FTW pre-painted bodies. Each body is hand-painted to guarantee uniqueness and ensure quality. The first offering is the Euro-inspired Raw scheme, available in pink, green, blue, and orange/yellow variants. Pre-painted 1:10 buggy, 1:8 truggy, and short course bodies will be available soon.
Fearless combination of divergent elements is the modus operandi of FTW’s renegade design team. It comes as no surprise then that when handed a truggy and blank check , the result was Phoenix—pure performance packaged in sinister chopped-top styling. Convention-defying style integrates an industry-standard downforce profile for the one-two punch of form and function that is standard-issue FTW. Every chassis make is critically evaluated during the body design process in order to achieve performance beyond the acceptable. To reduce the tendency for body disintegration caused by the recessed front body mount location of the MBX6T, this Phoenix version is equipped with a kit that raises the front body mounts, allowing for a sleek and smooth hood area.
Performance packaged in convention-smashing style defines FTW’s philosophy. The iconic Night Fox design has illustrated this while winning races across the globe. Xray’s XB9 2013 is the latest beneficiary. Tailored to fit the 2013 Spec’s wider chassis, the newest Night Fox features a suite of refinements that take the tradition to new heights. Sculpted sidepods and an additional 6 degrees of rake to the windshield combine for improved airflow. The rear deck height has been lowered to expose more of the engine head and integrate a spoiler while preserving the fastback profile.
FTW today launched Phoenix, its new line of truggy bodies, with a fitment for Team Losi’s 8ight-T 2.0. Phoenix is pure performance packaged in sinister chopped-top styling. After topping off the MBX7 with a Night Fox body shell, the FTW R&D team set to work on chassis improvements for the world champion buggy. Creating genuine quasi-isotropic carbon fiber replacement shock towers was a good first step, but they went further, adding more camber link tuning positions on the rear tower. Weak links must be banished, so next a carbon fiber upper plate was designed to replace the stock plastic piece. The front shock tower is precision CNC-cut in the USA from 4mm thick genuine quasi-isotropic carbon fiber, weighs 14 grams, and maintains all factory mounting and adjustment holes. Read More…
