Alpha Plus sign Lewis brothers

Alpha Plus have announced the signing of Mike Lewis to the Alpha Plus factory team. Mike is well known throughout the UK for his excellent skills and all round ‘nice guy’ attitude at the track. Mike joins Alpha as the current BRCA UK Truggy National champion, UK Nitrocross Champion, and successfully finished an outstanding 5 thin the BRCA UK 8 th Nitro Off Road Buggy championship. Mike will be racing most weekends around the UK with highlights being Neo Race, European Championships and World Championships.

Juan Lavado wins at Extremadura Champs Rd6

Round six of the Extremadura championship was held at the Las Cuadrigas track in Mérida, Spain last weekend. Alpha Plus driver Juan Lavado won the nitro buggy final.

Matt Lewis joins Alpha Plus

Alpha Plus engines and X-Factory UK have announced the signing of UK driver Matt Lewis to their team for the remainder of 2017 and beyond. Matt has an impressive CV that includes many BRCA National A finals and multiple BRCA national championship top ten results. Matt will be using the Alpha Dragon III engine combined with Alpha 2134 exhaust pipe and Corally Nitro Juice fuel to power his TLR cars at all nitro events he attends, starting this weekend at the JC Raceway Nitrocross event.

Denis Mliric wins Croatian Nats Rd1

This past weekend he v-maX club hosted the first round of the Croatian National Championship at the Radnik track, near Zagreb. After very close qualifying rounds between top three drivers were only separated by 2 seconds, the main final started on a very deteriorate track with large ruts appearing so the main going to be a game of patience and smart driving. From the start top three drivers started to pull out in front and the lead changed constantly, due to very competitive driving and a mix of different pit strategies. With 5 minutes to go Alpha driver Denis Mliric managed to get into the lead and stayed there until the end, with only 2 seconds in front after 30 minutes of driving. 

Walter Floris joins Alpha Power

Planet Racing, Alpha distributor for Italy, have announced that Italian frontrunner Walter Floris will join the Alpha Power racing team for 2017. Walter and his mechanics will take part to all the big events on the Italian territory and together with the Planet Racing crew will be ready to give support to the Alpha customers and to the growing Italian team.

Alpha unveil 2017 Factory Team

Alpha Plus have unveiled its Factory Team drivers for the 2017 season. Despite the departure of their former headliner, Ryan Lutz, Alpha have a solid team with many popular drivers like Alberto Garcia, Carson & Jonathan Yeung, Edouard Hugon and Robert Gustavsson. We note that the team is not yet complete, 2 new drivers should be announced later.

Ryan Lutz splits from Alpha

RC ‘Nice guy’ Ryan Lutz made the surprise announcement today that he would be leaving longterm engine sponsor Alpha; powerplant to his nitro vehicles for the last 7 years, seeing him through three IFMAR Worlds final appearances.

Alpha and Ryan Lutz shared their respective statements, both with quite heartfelt messages:

Alpha Plus @ EFRA GP

Last weekend was held the EFRA GP at the MK Eskil’s 1/8 Offroad track which will be the host of the Euros in 2017 in Eskilstuna, Sweden. Alpha‘s Marcus Sandberg showed his great potential and took the second place. Marcus was powered by Dragon III engine.
