Burak Kilic wins at 2020 OWL Messecup

The 2020 OWL Messecup was held in Bad Salzuflen, Germany over the weekend.Burak Kilic (Mugen Seiki/REDS Racing/Gens Ace/AKA) was in control of things in the E-Buggy class as he took the overall TQ and win by winning the first two finals. Berkan Kilic (Mugen Seiki/REDS Racing/Gens Ace/AKA) won the A3 final and secure the 2nd spot overall while Thomas Musi (Serpent) came in third. Jeffrey Halsema (Team Associated/Hobbywing/JConcepts) and Sophie Müller (SWORKz) rounded out the top 5 results.

Tebo, Bornhorst & Lutz win at 2020 Southern Indoor Champs

The 2020 Southern Indoor Championship was held in Autaugaville, Alabama over the weekend. After three rounds of qualifying in the Pro Nitro Buggy class it was Seth VanDalen (Tekno RC/O.S.Engines/Pro-Line Racing) who set the overall TQ while Joe Bornhorst (Tekno RC/Tekin/Pro-Line Racing) and Ryan Lutz (Agama/Bullitt/Piranha/AKA) took the TQ in Pro E-buggy and Pro Nitro Truggy respectively. In the 30-minute Nitro Buggy final, Jared Tebo (Tekno RC/Maxima Mx/AKA) comes out on top followed by his teammate J.Bornhorst (Tekno RC/BLOK Engines/Pro-Line Racing) in second and Dakotah Phend (TLR/O.S.Engines/JConcepts) in third. Austin Woodyard (Serpent/AMR Engines/AKA) and Brandon Rose (Agama/Picco/Pro-Line Racing) rounded out the top 5 results. The Pro E-buggy saw J.Bornhorst tking the win from A.Woodyard and S.VanDalen in 2nd and 3rd respectively while D.phend (TLR/Trinity/JConcepts) and J.Tebo (Tekno RC/Maclan/AKA) completed the top 5.

Indoor Swiss GP Bütschwil 2020 announcement

The BC Hornets have announced that their annual Indoor GP Bütschwil will be held on February 29th to March 1st in Bütschwil, near to Zürich, Switzerland. The GP will be held in 1/8 nitro buggy and E-buggy classes on a new track built for the event. As usual, the GP will attract drivers from Switzerland and from neighbouring countries who will come to enjoy a mix of nice racing, fun and a lot of track time. Entries are open here.

SWORKz Apollo Nitro & Brushless RTR Pro buggy kits


SWORKz have introduced the Apollo RTR buggy in both Nitro and brushless versions. The Apollo is based on the pro S350 buggy with an updated center layout from the S35-3 buggy but also race-inspired features. The Apollo provides precise feedback, a great balance feel in order to suit drivers of all driving levels thanks to his weight distribution. Both Apollo come in standard with many high-quality parts such as the front and rear shock towers as well as the chassis machined from T7075 aluminum. The Big Bore shocks 2.0 with 4mm shock shafts from S350 BK1 Pro, the high-performance crown gears and pinion gears and oil filled differentials providing traction on multiple off-road surfaces are also in the box. The S35-3’s BBD diff system provides better acceleration while the S35-3’s radio tray system gives precise throttle and braking response. The pivot ball steering system gives the driver sharp and accurate turning feedbacks. Both the Nitro and Brushless versions are assembled in the same factory and come with a race inspired base setup providing a vehicle easy to drive. The SWORKz Apollo comes with a 2.4G radio system with two SES-2S servos capable of up to 12kg-cm of torque, made by SAVOX. A pre-cut painted body shell is also included.

Juan Carlos Canas inks SWORKz long-term contract


SWORKz have announce that Spanish racer Juan Carlos Canas has signed a long-term contract with MW RC Products. He will race SWORKz 1/8th and 1/10th buggies with Maclan electronics. It is the start into MW RC Products strategy consisting of their their drivers use mainly products from MW RC Products partners.

RUDDOG CA Tire Glue CA super glues

RUDDOG Distribution have introduced their new Tire Glue line of CA super glues. Available as thin and medium viscosity variants the glues are ideal to securely bond on-road and off-road rubber tyres to their wheels with the thin variant being ideal to let the glue flow into even the smallest of gaps while the medium variant is also usable to seal tyre sidewalls in order to counter traction rolling. Both glues come in 20g bottles and they include angled glue tips to make application even more convenient.

T-Work’s introduce new nut drivers

T-Work’s have added to their range of tool five news nut drivers. The tools feature a lightweight 7075-T6 aluminium handle anodised in black and come hard-coated for wear. Stripes are machined at the end of the handle for easy identification while a red anodized cap is fitted to the end to help with tool handling. The 100mm durable nut drivers are available in 5.5 and 7.0mm, and also as 2-way driver with 5.5 and 7.0mm on each end separately.

2020 HB Racing Race Days France announcement

The 2020 HB Racing Race Days France will be held at the ARCF42 track in Boisset-Saint-Priest near Lyon from April 3rd to 5th. A clinic will be held with the Factory drivers and Adrien Bertin will also be on-site to help out and answer any of your HB Racing and Performa Racing questions. Of course, the event is open to all chassis brands and drivers but if you are currently using, or are considering HB Racing or Performa Racing products in the future, you will surely find the expertise and knowledge at this race to help improve your program or help with your future purchase decisions.
