Dimitris Ioannidis crowned double Greek Champion


The 2020 Greek 1/10th Electric Off-road Championships were held at the Fanatix Racing Track in Athens. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the event was single and was to decide the 2020 Champions. Dimitris Ioannidis (XRAY) took the overall TQ in the 2WD and 4WD Buggy classes after intensive rounds of qualifying. In the 2WD Buggy, D.Ioannidis won the first two finals and took the title. His teammate Konstantinos Agrafiotis (XRAY) came on the runner-up spot while Andreas Koutras (Team Associated) completed the podium result. In the 4WD class, D.Ioannidis won the last two finals to take another title in front of the multi-time Greek champion Tasos Paparegas (XRAY) in second while Tekno RC European team manager Ilias Arkoudaris (Tekno RC) came in third.

Jörn Neumann sweeps NORC Series Rd3

The third round of the NORC Series was held at the new Arena33 outdoor astroturf track in Andernach, Germany. Jörn Neumann (Schumacher/Maclan Racing/GensAce) would sweep the 2WD and 4WD buggy classes. He took the overall TQ as well as the win in both classes. Marcel Schneider in 2nd and Max Montermann in 3rd rounded out the top 3 result in the 2WD Buggy class. Moritz Lautenbach and M.Montermann competed the 4WD Buggy podium result in second and third respectively.

Gonzales & Thayer win at JBRL Electric Off-Road Series Rd4

The fourth round of the 2020 JBRL Electric Off-Road Series was held at OCRC Raceway in Huntington Beach, California. The event was held in 12 classes and in the Expert 17.5 2WD Buggy it was it was Matthew Gonzales (Yokomo/Hobbywing/JConcepts) who set the overall TQ and brought home the win from Jake Thayer (Yokomo/Muchmore//JConcepts) in second and Ian Crawford (Yokomo/Schurr-Speed/JConcepts) in third to complete the podium sweep for Yokomo.

RcMulk track opening race report

This past weekend was held the opening race of the brand new RcMulk track in Viljandimaa, Estonia. Originally the race was planed to be on the 20th of June but because of the rain the race was delayed to the 21st of June where the sun will be shining all day long. Brent Sianez doubles at US Turf Wars

The US Turf Wars was held at RC Madness in Enfield, Connecticut this last weekend. With many of the northeast’s fastest racers itching to get back to the track, the A-Mains were stacked with drivers who could compete for the win. Tyler Marcy (Schumacher) set the overall TQ in the 2WD Buggy and the 4WD Buggy classes after some intensive rounds of qualifying with Brent Sianez (Team Associated/Reedy/JConcepts) who would ultimately start 2nd in both classes. After some close racing throughout each main, B.Sianez would manage to take down the win in both classes. The TQ holder T.Macy came in second in both classes while Keith Smart (XRAY) and Keith Culley completed the top 3 results in 2WD Buggy and 4WD Buggy respectively.

XRS Poland Race Camp 2020 announcement

For the first time the XRS Poland will held a true RC training camp at Latina RC Racing near Wolstyn from the 20th to 26th of July. The main focus of the camp will be to increase knowledge and skills of the RC drivers. Everyone will benefit from the camp – we’ll set up advanced as well as beginners groups. As XRAY factory driver, Marco Baruffolo will be the lead instructor while Paweł (Ovca) will take care of the beginners group. More info are available here.

Bartek Kramza sweeps TRCA Off-road Series Rd1

The first round of the TRCA Off-road Series was held at the Titan RC Arena in Warszawa, Poland. The 2WD Modified Buggy class saw Bartek Kramża (XRAY/LRP) taking TQ and win from the Schumacher duo of Jeremiasz Kramza (Schumacher) in 2nd and Marcin Czech (Schumacher) in 3rd.
