This past weekend was the Nitro Blast race ran by Otterville Rc Raceway in Otterville, Ontario, Canada. The event attracted 173 entries and the track was treated with the similar stuff that is used at the Quebec Classic just a week prior. After qualifying in the Nitro Buggy class, Mark Sousa (XRAY/VP PowerMaster fuel/Pro-Line Racing) was able to secure the overall TQ and would start on pole for the 45-minute A main. On main day they were calling for rain so the Otterville crew tried to get through it all as fast as possible but right before the Nitro Buggy main the rain began to come down slightly at first and we went ahead and raced it. The track was super slick, almost like driving on Ice with 2×4’s as tires in some corners. Despite these difficult conditions, M.Sousa was able to open up a big lead and take the win. Douglas Shewfelt (Serpent/Maclan Racing) came in second and George Stilly in third.

Barrett Morrow (XRAY) brought home the win inE-buggy from Andrew Bucar (Mugen Seiki/Alpha Plus) and David Reime (Mugen Seiki/AKA), in second and third respectively.
