After the introduction of the long awaited SRX8-T, Serpent have released the new SRX8-TE 1/8th E-truggy kit. Taking the base of the SRX8-T, Serpent have retain all the key factors such as the reliability, durability, ease of assembly as well as maintenance, coupled with all new suspension geometry. Using all of Serpent’s high-quality metals, plastics and rubber, the new E-truggy performs more compared to its predecessor, providing more durability, ease of driving and better handling on the track. The SRX8-TE features a 4mm 7075-T6 aluminum flat chassis to provide the most flexible design and helping to prevent traction rolls, a versatile motor mount made from 7075-T6 aluminum, a 10t pinion with a 46t ring gear ratio, SRX8 differentials, 16mm threaded shocks with extremely tough 3.5mm shock shafts, “Pro “cap giving maximum versatility can be used as emulsion or bladder shocks, all in one cap, Delrin 6-hole pistons, front and rear suspension arms with arm plates, sway bars with captured pivot-ball design and a receiver box that can be mounted in multiple locations depending on the layout you wish to use. The SRX8-TE can be used with 2S and 4S LiPo batteries. The lower plastic mount is securely fixed to the chassis and mounted directly to the surface to ensure lowest possible CG. The Velcro straps are supplied in the kit and the Serpent logo is embossed on them. The 7075-T6 aluminum shock towers are a 5mm thick and come machined and then anodized to give them an even more durable finish. Carbon fiber shock towers are also available as option parts. The Truggy features also 15 degree caster blocks with steering blocks machined from 7075-T6 aluminum anodized in black, and re-machined to have a stylish shiny silver edge. The steering arms accepts 5 different Ackermann plates. 0,1,2,3,4. The body looks rough, tough and stylish, fit for a real Truggy.
