The 2WD portion of the 2019 IFMAR 1/10th Off-road World Championships was held at the HUDY Arena in Trencin, Slovakia. After five intensive rounds of qualifying between Spencer Rivkin (Team Associated/Hobbywing/JConcepts), Bruno Coelho (XRAY/Hobbywing) and Davide Ongaro (Team Associated/LRP/AKA) it was S.Rivkin who set the overall TQ. In A1, S.Rivkin made a mistake in the first lap allowing D.Ongaro to take the lead and win. S.Rivkin came in second and B.Coelho in third. In A2, S.Rivkin was under pressure, needing to win to have a chance to be World Champion. D.Ongaro able to build up pressure on his teammate right from the start. Despite more and more pressure, S.Rivkin defended superbly his first position and took the win from D.Ongaro and Ryan Maifield (Yokomo/Performa Racing/JConcepts). In the last final, S.Rivkin to the lead but because small mistakes, D.Ongaro begin to close in, waiting the opportunity presented itself to grab the lead. The latter stages of the race saw D.Ongaro and S.Rivkin fought wheel-to-wheel battle but S.Rivkin held his nerve to cross the line in first in front of D.Ongaro and Yusuke Sugiura (Yokomo/Muchmore).
