The second round of the SBS 1/10 off-road Major League was held at SBS astroturf track in Sungai Buloh, Malaysia over the weekend. Most of the drivers weren’t used to the astroturf surface and they spent days before the race trying out different tires and shock setups while at the same time learning to drive on such a high grip surface so rare in this part of the world. In 2WD Buggy Modified, it was Bashir (Team Associated) who took the overall TQ and after some close fights during the finals, he also took the win after the tie–breaker with Shahrin (XRAY). Indonesian racer Yuri Taruna (HB Racing) came in third.

In 4wd Buggy Modified, Bashir was again the man to beat. He took the TQ being the only racer to achieve 12 laps in qualifying. He then continued this dominance in the finals by winning 3 out of 4 legs. Kent Sung (Tekno) and Shahrin rounded out the top 3.

In the Short Course class it was a close fight for TQ between Hakeem (Intech Racing) and Azman Azam (TLR) and ultimately it was Hakeem who set the TQ with 5-second margin. The finals were very exciting, both drivers raced very hard and each won 2 heats. Hakeem won the tie breaker thanks to fastest times during the qualifying rounds. A.Azam came in second while Ramesh (Intech Racing) secured the third spot.
