The 2019 North West Carpet Nationals was held last weekend at North West Hobbies track in Albany, Oregon. This would be considered a “hometown” race for Yokomo, as USA Team Manager Joe Pillars lives just 1 hour away from North West Hobbies. With 141 total race entries, North West Hobbies would set a new record with the most entries so far in the series. In the 4wd Modified Buggy class, Yokomo’s Ryan Maifield showed great speed and took the big wins in A-Main #1 and A-Main #3, to take home the 4wd Modified Buggy Championship from the Team Associated duo of Broc Champlin, who set the TQ, and Dustin Evans. In the 17.5 2wd Buggy class, M.Gonzales also went onto take the overall TQ.
