The last two rounds of Czech 1/8th Buggy Nationals 2018 took place last weekend at the Horni Jeleni track. At the fifth round Max Gotzl (XRAY) took the overall TQ and after the semifinals it was Martin Bayer (XRAY) who started in the pole position for the 45 minutes nitro buggy final with M.Gotzl in second and Jiri Mara (SWORKz) in third. Straight after the start M.Bayer made a mistake which allowed M.Gotzl to take the lead but M.Bayer recovered fast back. M.Gotzl tried to fight him after the last fuel tanking, but he didn’t manage to overtook M.Bayer who won. M.Gotzl came in second and took the first place as the best Junior driver and J.Mara rounded out the top 3. 

In the E-buggy class it was Karel Novotny (XRAY) who took the overall TQ spot on the grid. M.Gotzl was able to take the victory by winning in A1 and A3 from Ales Bidovsky (Team Associated) in second and K.Novotny in third.

At the sixth round it was M.Bayer who set the overall TQ in nitro buggy from K.Novotny and M.Gotzl. The main final grid order was the same as the results after qualies. In the 45 minutes final, this time M.Bayer didn‘t make any mistake. He pulled away fast and was able to hold the lead to the line to take the win. M.Gotzl was fighting with K.Novotny for the second place and in the end he took it and K.Novotny finished in third. 

In the E-buggy class A.Bidovsky took the overall TQ from K.Novotny and M.Gotzl. Both XRAY drivers failed to stop A.Bidovsky who took the win from K.Novotny in second and M.Gotzl in third.

M.Bayer was crowned the Czech Champion in the nitro buggy class while in the E-buggy class it was K.Novotny who took the title. M.Gotzl took the title in both classes in the Junior category and Jaroslav Valder was crowned Champion in the Senior category.
