This past weekend was held the 2018 Tekin Labor Day Shootout at the Amain’s Silver Dollar RC Raceway in Chico, California. All together there was 114 entires for the one day event. There was three rounds of qualifying then mains. The E-buggy A-main was 9 minutes, Nitro Truggy A-main was 20 minutes, the Pro Nitro Buggy A-main was 30 minutes, and the top 3 in the Open class was able to run in the Pro Nitro Buggy A-main. Cj Jelin (XRAY) took the overall TQ in all three classes by winning the first two rounds. In the Pro Nitro Buggy A-main Cj Jelin was battling with Phillip Atondo (TLR) for the first minute before he made a mistake and from that point on, XRAY driver lead the race to take the win. P.Atondo came in second while Brad Nibbelink (Mugen) rounded out the top 3.

In the Open E-buggy Cj Jelin started first and drove a near perfect race. At the end, he had a battle with Brian Strange (Team Associated) while the people in 3rd and 4th place were having a battle right behind them. Cj Jelin drove forward to finish was a 3 second lead from B.Strange in second and Bryce beaver (TLR) in third.

In the Open Nitro Truggy A-main Cj Jelin started again in first and never looked back to win in front of B.Beaver in second while Mark Schroeder (XRAY) came in third.
