Last weekend was held tthe 2018 Mugen Challenge at LCRC Raceway in Oakland Mills, Pennsylvania. The event had a record high turnout at 340 entries. Track conditions were ever changing, the track would fluctuate between dry and dusty during the day, to moist and powdery at night. Saturday qualifying was a bit long, ending at 1AM the next morning, but was really competitive throughout. Strangely for the evening and night, the powdery dirt started in the racing groove, then for a short window of time disappeared, then reappeared for the remainder of the night. In the E-Truggy mains the track had really dried out and the groove became even more slick. First place piped the first corner and Jared Phair (XRAY) passed around him and led for the rest of the main to take the win. Chad Wallace came in second while Kevin Stiller rounded out the top 3.
