The Sandefjord RC Club hosted the National Championship 2018 over the weekend. The crew made a great job with prices, making the arena ready for audience, and drivers. The event was also held in Nitro Buggy and E-Buggy for the first time at the same weekend. Since XRAY driver Daniel Kobbevik had taken all the wins in the Nats rounds this year and last year, he was the favourite upfront to take the win in both classes. After the rounds of qualifying, Kobbevik took the overall TQ by winning all rounds in both Nitro Buggy and E-buggy classes.

The track had been pretty beaten up during qualification and the club decided to water the track after qualification was finished on saturday, that made the track high traction again sunday morning and no dust to start with in the morning. In Nitro Buggy final Kobbevik took the win from Rune Karlsen (Kyosho) in second and his team mate Lars Erik Mo in third. In E-buggy Kobbevik started in pole position and managed to take the victory in front of Karlsen and Thorbjørn Døler (XRAY) in second and third respectively.

Thanks to Magne Kobbevik for the report.
