Last weekend was held the second round of the Midwest National Series at the Next Level RC track in Cambria, Illinois. The layout offered huge elevation changes, grip and sick motocross jumps. The race was ran with a two 5-minute qualifications with two 15-minute mains. In Nitro Truggy Alex Vaughn (XRAY) took the overall TQ by winning all qualifying rounds and the first place on the grid for the mains. Vaughn took a tone to tone win in both finals. Johnathon Shanklin and Repo Southern rounded out the top 3.

In the Nitro Buggy class, despite a rough start Vaughn was able to grab the first round TQ but sadly in the second round a low idle flame out took him out of the TQ position. In A1, Vaughn started in second and had a great battle with Nate Johnson and Tim Garland (Mugen) but in the end he was able to edge out them to take the A1 win. In A2 Vaughn did to many mistakes and crazy lap traffic made the A2 main super competitive. he was able to get back to the lead on the final lap but sadly on the last turn he hit a massive rut throwing his buggy off of the track down a 15 foot edge. Garland brought home the win from Vaughn and Chase Rhinerson(SOAR), in second and third respectively.
