The second round of the M.K.Power Off-road Championship was held at XMG off-road track in Dongguan, China. Racers from South Korea, Taiwan, Mainland China, Macau and Hong Kong attended the race. Weather was cloudy with occasionally small rain during the day but nothing affected the racing atmosphere. Jonathan Yeung (Tekno RC) took the overall TQ in both Nitro Buggy and E-buggy classes after three qualification rounds.

In the 45-minute Nitro Buggy final, because speakers along the starting grid were not working well, mechanics on the starting grid heard badly the voice from race announcer causing a start not as smooth as expected. Jonathan started on pole position and despite this drama he managed to came back to first place after only 6-minute. Jonathan had several car flip incidents but unluckily every time it happened he lost more than 15sec. For this reason first and second cars swapping leading position several time. Thanks for fuel mileage advantage, Jonathan need one less refuel than the car in second position. This helped him to secure the win in front of Xiao Quan and Lin Le Hua who rounded out the top 3.

In Electric Buggy A-Main finals, Jonathan Yeung won all three legs from his dad Carson Yeung (Tekno RC) who finished all 3 finals at the second place. James Lee rounded out the top 3. Jonathan lead the overall ranking on both E-Buggy and Nitro Buggy classes.

Thanks to Carson Yeung for the report.
