The CRCRC Midwest Nitro Championship was held this weekend in the state of Ohio. In the Nitro Truggy class it was XRAY’s Mark Sousa who managed to took the TQ by winning the first three qualifying rounds allowing him to start on pole for the 30 minute final. In the main Mark had a good start and was battling with Serpent’s Austin Woodyard in the early going. About 10 minutes Mark made a small mistake in a turn and the Marshall hit my flywheel and shut off the truck which put made out of contention. Austin took the lead and never looked back. Mark had a good battle at the end of the race with Tekno’s Mike Legue for second position but he will not be able to overtake Mike.

In Pro buggy Austin was able to overall TQ from Mark and Agama’s Ralph Krumme. In the Main, Mark made a pass on Austin during the first lap and was able to run a smooth race with Ralph Krumme behind. The first three drivers had some good battles for the lead but by the end Mark was able to open up a comfortable lead to take the win with Ralph Krumme in second and Mugen’s Cole Kasten in third.
