This past weekend were held the 2017 Victorian State Titles held in Shepparton, Victoria Australia. The Shepparton club did a fantastic job on the track rebuild with a very challenging layout with a very U.S style track. Pro Buggy qualifying was up first with Mugen’s Matt Griffin taking the first two qualifiers with Kyosho driver Ben Sterling in 2nd and Team Associated’s Cameron Zammit in 3rd. Sterling would then go on to take the last 3 qualifiers from Cameron Zammit, Mugen’s Max Ricca and Kyosho driver Ash Peeler. Truck qualifying saw Sterling with a dominate performance taking all five qualifiers from Cameron Zammit, Mugen’s Liam Jones and Ash Peeler.

First up was the Truck 45 Minute A-Main. Sterling would start off poll and never look back. The battle was on for 2nd-4th with Zammit, Peeler and Jones all battling it out. Zammit would find his groove and check out on Peeler and Jones. This left the battle open for the third spot. Peeler would knuckle down and cruise home to take the 3rd spot.

Pro Buggy 45min A-Main again saw Sterling check out from the pack early due to a pile up on the first turn. Ricca would find his groove early on and checkout from 3rd and 4th positions. The battle was on between Jones and Zammit. Both suffering multiple flame-outs. Jones would settle in and cruise allowing him to take 3rd position with Zammit suffering another flame out to drop him to 4th.
