The Chehaw Raceway hosted the Forever Heroes Memorial race in Albany, Georgia over the weekend. This was quite a special event as it was held to raise money for the families affected by the murder of two policemen. Over $4000 was raised at the race. The track was unlike the large regional events. The smaller, dustier, harder-to-race-on track was a challenge to any racer with the mindset, “fast is faster”. A slower, more stable vehicle was far superior.
Qualifying would go to Lewis Landen in Expert E-Buggy while in Expert Nitro Buggy it was Chandler Elliott who took the overall TQ. In both E-Buggy and Nitro Buggy finals, Landen will leave no chance to his opponents by winning the finals in both classes. Mickey Griffin and Larry Cromontia finished second and third in E-Buggy and Mickey Griffin and Allen Krier took the second and third place in Nitro Buggy.
