The first round on the Finnish National 1/10 Winter Series was held at the new PKSRCA permanent indoor track in the center of Helsinki. The Winter Series includes 6 races across Finland and Estonia, and has gained a lot of popularity, making it ones of the biggest Finnish series with over 100 in attendance at the first race. PKSRCA, a new track right in the centre of Helsinki, features the same carpet as in the popular EOS series so that the track conditions are as close to the EOS as possible.

Team Durango Finland / Team Hobbyfactory were very successful and dominated both 2WD and 4WD classes at Round 1 of the series. Saturday’s 2wd program saw Team Durango’s Ari Heinonen and Markku Honkanen set the pace early on. Heinonen would take TQ and carry on to win the overall.

4wd was a similar showing, however, Joel Valander would steal TQ from the Durango duo of Heinonen and Honkanen. Once again, Ari Heinonen turned up the heat for the finals, and went on to win A1 and A2 for his second overall win on the day.
