IMG_20222015 Championship: 1. Elliott Boots, 2. Darren Bloomfield, 3. Neil Cragg, 4. Jack Embling, 5. Graham Alsop

The final and deciding round of BRCA Nationals headed to it’s traditional season-closing track; Slough. With surprisingly decent weather greeting racers, the Remote World track crew had prepped their beloved track well despite constant onslaughts of British summer (rain). Going into the closer European Champion Elliott Boots was favourite to clinch the title however Darren Bloomfield did all he could, clinching TQ in the final round on Sunday morning.

However after the semis, Boots was already crowned Champion by making the final – that didn’t serve to dampen the racing however as he started on pole, led around the first corner followed by Bloomfield chasing him. Boots looked strong upfront with Bloomfield suffering a few small mistakes as well as a possible engine cut on unlucky lap 13 (a 62 second lap) that dropped him back, but looking like a man on a mission was Lee Martin, guiding his Mugen round Slough like a cruise missile he would soon take over the lead looking comfortable infront, until lap 37 when disaster struck a broken metal steering servo horn forced him into the pits for 7 mins of repairs, he’d come back out but with no chance. The result, due to an earlier missed round, missing the cut for the 2016 Worlds in Las Vegas…

Back on track Elliott assumed the lead with Jack Embling in a solid 2nd, Boots would hang onto take a deserved win whilst Darren would take 3rd after a strong recovery. Neil Cragg ending up 14th after running in the top 5, his car expiring on lap 43 unfortunately.
