2015 euro coverage 2

Winner of the Euro warm up, Elliott Boots showed his consistency in qualifying never dropping out of the top 10 in a single run managing a single TQ and three 2nd places – whilst P2 man Robert Batlle TQ’d Q3 & Q5, Boots’ 3rd result proved better and thus gave him the overall top spot. A not wholly unexpected result having held overnight TQ since yesterday, many tip this year’s Euros to be between the top 3 drivers, Elliott the only one without a major international win of Euro calibre, however he now has a Euros TQ to his merit list.

‘Best of the rest’ goes to Davide Ongaro, pipping fellow young Italian Riccardo Berton to 4th place, the smiling Mugen driver is making Euros organiser dad Mauro proud taking 4th in Q5, in 6th a resurgent showing from Jorn Neumann with Serpent whilst Q4 TQ Alex Zanchettin faced a mixed bag in quali, 7th place betraying his overall speed but indicative of his inconsistency as well.
