Jorn Neumann stamped his authority on the 2WD Euros setting a TQ time some 5.6 secs clear of former Durango team mate Hupo Honigl. Neumann put together a near faultless run as the 23 year-old German reeled off lap after lap of 18 sec laps, he immediately opened up a gap at the front and began building, dipping into 17 lap territory but eventually two 19 sec laps saw him miss the cut by just undera  1/10th of a second (16/5:00.096).

Hupo Honigl’s continued ascension in 2WD continues as Lee Martin starting P2 suffered a series of poor laps which forced him to push a bit harder, bear in mind that with two scores from five rounds counting all drivers will likely be looking to have two ‘safe’ rounds before exploring outright pace.

Setting the pace up until heat 14 was Joona Haatanen in heat 13, an impressive run from him taking 5th overall – especially considering his mid-motor car, not to mention young Daniel Kobbevik in P9 from two heats earlier, the young Swede congratulated by AE designer Kody Numedahl as he stepped off the drivers stand.
