The traditional Oldies final closed out day 3 of Neo14, as heavy favourite Adam Drake was everyones’ bet for the win, he would end up taking the coveted title away from Kevin Brunsden, but it was a hard fought slog after a disastrous start to the final. Drake led approximately two corners before binning it, getting tangled and beaten up in a proverbial Mexican melee, however he dusted himself down and started getting in the groove hammering out laps whilst Simon Willetts led out front with Brunsden and Karl Jackson fighting behind.

Drake was soon in his groove as Willetts tried in vain to make it a fight, coming out after his pitstop, Drake just snatched the lead and he never looked back, a tangle with a backmarker proved disastrous for Willetts’ victory challenge and Drake rolled home with another Neo win under his belt followed by Willetts and Neo13 Oldies Champ Kevin Brunsden in 3rd.
