Ali Bullail wins Kuwait Nat Rd1

The first round of the Kuwaiti National Championship took place last weekend at the popular RCCCK track which featured a fresh new track layout that had been designed by Nawaf Alabdulrazzaq. Racing started later in the day under very cold conditions with the E buggy qualifying on the track first. The silent racing was great to watch with the high grip track turning the race into an on-road experience however in the end it was Ultimate/AKA driver Ali Bullail who managed to secure the TQ spot for this class.

Up next were the furious truggys which saw an impressive battle between Mohammed AlTarmoum and Ali Bullail however after three qualifying rounds it was again Ali Bullail who took TQ spot. The real show started when the nitro buggy class hit the track, spectators witnessed three rounds of very nice racing with Abdulaziz Mohammed and Mohammed Al Tarmoum battling it out for the TQ spot. However after two 11 lap runs it was Abdulaziz Mohammed who secured the overall buggy TQ.

The first Amain to take place was the E buggy final. A good clean start from the beginning raised the action for the first few laps as the front pack were head to toe. Pole man Ali Bullail used his TQ spot to run a clean race and within a few minutes managed to establish a nice gap from 2nd place. He went on to win the final with his Tekin powered Kyosho MP9e, followed by 2nd place Abdullah AlFalah with his Tekin powered Xray 808e and in 3rd place RC Academy driver Mohammed AlHajri with his Tekin powered Associated RC8.2e.

Later that evening the truggy final started with spectators again witnessing a battle for the lead break out between Mohammed AlTarmoum and Ali Bullail. A mistake by TQ Bullail gave AlTarmoum the chance to sneak into the lead which he kept until a non-scheduled pit stop. Mohammed pitted for a quick splash of fuel which gave Ali Bullail the lead. With only a few seconds separating them, the action raised considerably in the last few minutes as the two drivers raced towards the finish line. In the end it was Ali Bullail who took the win with his HES Fusion powered Kyosho St-RR followed by Mohammed AlTarmoum with his OS powered Kyosho ST-RR and in 3rd was Meshari AlTarmoum with his HES Fusion powered Kyosho ST-RR.

RCCCK racing this year sees their new sports final being introduced which provides the B and C main drivers a opportunity to continue racing when missing out on a bump up position. Naser AlFayez took the lead after a few laps and never looked back, winning the final with his OS powered Kyosho MP9 TKI3 followed by Abdulaziz AlShemmeri with his Novarossi powered Kyosho MP9 TKI3 and in 3rd Bader AlShemmeri with his Novarossi powered Kyosho MP9 TKI3.

The Pro Buggy A main started late and saw 45 minutes of great racing under very cold conditions. Within a few laps, the race order was Ali Bullail, Mohammed AlTarmoum followed by Abdulaziz Mohammed. However heading into the first pit stop, Mohammed Altarmoum pushed for one more lap and flamed out, dropping down a few spots which let Meshari AlSaleh bump to third. The race order stayed the same for more than half of the 45 minute final. However bad luck struck Meshari AlSaleh as his engine flamed out twice and took his chances of a top 3 finish with Mohammed AlHajri sneaking into 3rd place.

After the 45 minutes it was Ultimate/AKA/AVID/HES driver Ali Bullail who won with his HES Novarossi powered Kyosho MP9 TKI3 followed by Abdulaziz Mohammed with his Werks powered Xray XB9 and in 3rd was RC Academy driver Mohammed AlHajri with his Reedy powered Associated RC8.2.
