The second round of the Pro-Line 1/8th Winter Masters took place yesterday at the ever improving Storm Valley Raceway. Racers were greeted with a cold, crispy morning with a touch of frost but that didn’t matter as the racing took place on their purpose built US style indoor dirt track! After one round of practice it was Hot Bodies driver Ashlee Owen who claimed the first round of qualifying with Mugen Seiki driver Simon Willetts securing the second and third rounds. However that being said it was Ashlee Owen who claimed overall TQ in the pro class.

The club buggy class saw HotBodies Kamil Jablonski claim Rd1 with the second and third going to Agama’s William Skidmore with overall TQ going to Kyosho’s driver Steve Carrigan. There was some really close racing in the lower finals with Junior Mugen driver Jack Willetts taking the overall club buggy class victory ahead of HotBodies Kamil Jablonski and Associated’s James Greener.

The pro buggy class saw a clean getaway for Ashlee however with Simon Willetts right on his gearbox, Ashlee made a small mistake but soon got the lead back with Tony Truman in 3rd. The lead changed with fuel stops coming into play but Ashlee and Simon showed some really close racing right to the wire with never a meter between them for the final 5 minutes. Overall it was Ashlee Owen who took the win with Mugen’s Simon Willetts 2nd and Agama’s Tony Truman 3rd, 2 laps behind. Storm Valley would like to thank the drivers, Proline and CML Distribution for their support, Glyn Morgan for the timing. Booking in for Rd 3 on the 8th December is now open and can be found here.
