mugen_seikiWith the nationals season settled in the UK, it was Mugen Seiki driver Lee Martin who claimed the overall championship win at the last round in Slough last weekend, a win which sees a winless streak since records began, finally broken for the prestigious Japanese racing car manufacturer.

For years the British Championship was dominated by Kyosho and the Crono car – in the hands of Dave Crompton, in recent years Neil Cragg (AE), Darren Bloomfield (TLR) and last year Elliott Boots (Kyosho) each took turns at the top spot.

However strong back to back wins in the two opening rounds of the 2013 season saw Martin grow in confidence and a further win by default in round 4 saw the odds stacked in his favour in the last round; coming home 2nd to Elliott Boots, a victory which saw the outgoing Champion sneak 2nd overall in the Championship from Bloomfield, in 4th Neil Cragg. Continuing the Mugen BRCA onslaught was young Jack Embling taking the Junior title and a strong P7 overall and finally Ashlee Owen victorious in the clubmans class.
