Since his dominating triumph at the European B Championships in early June, RB’s star pupil Marco Baruffolo has impressed many a paddock pundit with his fluid driving and impressive points haul, a few mistakes early on in qualifying can be attributed to any ‘A’ Euros novice, however Marco recovered well to take P25 overall. His qualifying journey started off with a 13th in Q1, however a huge crash prevented him from repeating that, slightly down on confidence perhaps, Baruffolo nailed down safe runs in Q3 & Q4 but it was really the last round where he unleashed the potent RB multi combination (RB car, engine, tyres, fuel!) which saw him secure 10th overall in Q5.

Along with his RB team mate Andres Marcelino from Spain in 19th the Euro B winning company have two drivers in the quarters, Marcelino excelling in Q5 as well taking a very deserved 8th place. Veteran and ambassador for the sport of 1/8 Buggy Daniel Reckward also improved in Q5 after a series of tough qualifiers, he has a day with a bit of bumping ahead of him, also hoping to make the jump from quarter to semi and perhaps further will be Marco and Andres, the former looking to emulate David Ronnefalk’s meteoric rise since winning his own B-Euros in 2009 and now going onto TQ the ‘A’ four years later.
