After heavy rainfall on Friday & Saturday the Rhein Main warm up ran a much-shortened race format on the Sunday, organisers managed to squeeze in two rounds of qualifying for the three classes, Mugen driver Kennie Ekenstierna TQ’d the 1/8 nitro buggy class, Hannes Kaufler the EL buggy and Frank Lemke topped the standings in truggy.

The main nitro buggy final saw Kennie start from pole and it wasn’t long until a three-way battle ensued between Kennie, JQ and Kaufler, however it wasn’t to be for the young Swede as he would retire with mechanical problems. This left JQ battling Hannes through the main and it was Hannes who edged it after the 30 min mark as better fuel mileage and pace played it’s part, in the last few minutes of the final Simon Eser snatched 2nd place from JQ confirming a 1,2 German finish on home soil, JQ taking the final spot on the podium.

JQ (JQ, LRP) took unchallenged victory in the electric buggy class ahead of Maxi Cordts (TLR, Tekin) and Hannes Käufler (TLR, Hacker). Maxi Cordts (TLR) comfortably won the truggy final in front of Ralf Dennenmoser (TLR) and Frank Lemke (Kyosho).
