mugenIn a statement sent out to retailers and partners, Mugen Seiki Europe President Stefan Habbecke announced the departure of John-Yves Ferte - team & sales manager for Mugen in Europe – one of the more lively and memorable characters from the pitlane, he will be missed at the races, bringing in his unique ‘breath of fresh air’ take on matters coupled with fun and personality.

“I would like to inform you herewith that we are forced to seperate from Mr. John-Yves Ferte because of business and economical reasons. That will be valid to the 08th of march. I am grateful for the positive cooperation we had with Mr. Ferte in his position as Team and Sales manager and I wish him continued success on his way and for all his new challenges.” – Stefan Habbecke – Mugen Europe

Rumours of a departure from Mugen Europe surfaced a while back as all didn’t seem well behind the scenes – its no secret most companies within the RC business these days face a tough economic reality.

Having said that, during his time with Mugen, its no secret that whether by coincidence or hard work and patience results began to swing their way – in any form of racing however, coincidence isn’t a word used overly often. Not only at the top but Ferte was instrumental in building up an active stable of junior drivers – guiding them with support to perform and also enjoy the sport.

Having been unable to contact John-Yves we wish him the best, and have a sneaky feeling it won’t be too long before we see him trackside again albeit in different colours.
