Today we’re planning on doing a ‘Whos here’ feature, detailing which company reps and famous RC people have made the trip down south to represent and support their company/drivers. But first the opposite, who are we missing ? From the drivers side at least…

There are two stand out names on the list Mike Truhe & Jesse Robbers, both from the US and both in with a great shout of making the Worlds final. In Truhe’s case he unfortunately injured himself prior to the event thus making attendance for the 2008 Worlds Top Qualifier very tough. For Robbers, circumstances transpired making it impossible for him to make the trip despite being one of the strongest picks for the final. Another big name from the last Worlds is also MIA – Billy Fischer, having qualified 5th overall at the last Worlds Billy joined Team Durango before moving back to TLR and finding his way again. Not present in Pattaya nor here is 1/8 buggy royalty Daniel Reckward, the 3x European Champion and 1998 World Champion is not running for Mugen anymore and wasn’t planning on attending. Adding to the list – Taylor James, previous pre-worlds winner and 6th place finisher in 2008. TLR/Orion/JConcepts driver Dustin Evans may not be the most familiar name in 1/8 buggy circles but would have been highly fancied to make the semis at least, staying home to focus more on 1/10th scale.
