News reaches us that this year’s FEMCA Championships will be held in late August at the World famous PRC track in Pattaya, Thailand. Host of the 2010 Worlds which bore witness to Cody King’s emphatic win, another driver in the ascendancy at that event was Kyle McBrde, current defending FEMCA Champion who went from an unknown with bags of talent to a household name overnight. The Buggy FEMCA Champs is the equivalent to EFRA’s Euros or ROAR’s nationals – although aimed at Asian bloc drivers, we saw a few ‘special guests’ attend last year giving McBride a run for his money. Past FEMCA Champions include former WC himself Atsushi Hara – a 2x Champion and someone who calls the PRC track ‘home’, he’ll be looking to claim his FEMCA hat trick, with wins in ’06 & ’09.

The six-day event kicks off on Tuesday 21st and concludes on Sunday 26th, expect a big entry and interest even more so due to the location and scale, quality of the facility, not forgetting the ‘special’ attractions that Pattaya offers.
