Sad news reached us this morning that Ted Longshaw passed away two nights ago, one if not the original spark behind what organised RC Racing is today. Ted laid the foundations for the future as one of the founders of the BRCA along with EFRA a few years later and finally IFMAR in 1979, he served as President for both EFRA & IFMAR until stepping down from the day to day running in 1995 and appointed Honourary Life President. He will be remembered by many for his dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to RC racing. On a personal note I first met Ted in December 2006 when he came to see and support us at the first Neo race at Harper Adams, always smiling he will be missed. NeoBuggy would like to pass on our condolences to Ted’s family & friends. Head over to The SGrid to read about the history of IFMAR written by Ted himself.
