Ty Tessmann TQ’s 2011 Silver State truggy class. 4th placed man Ryan Maifield and team mate Richard Saxton are trying out LRP’s new engine in the truggy class, although in this photo of Maifield’s enigne, the crankcase is significantly different from LRP’s picture of the ZR.21X Spec.2 – the case rather looks to be OS based. Which begs the question are the boys running LRP heads on OS engines or are LRP joining the cool crowd by getting their own OEM OS, a la Bullitt, S-Power (WORKz), JQ Products, HPI & perhaps Sidewinder!
Anyway, on a very difficult track Tessmann will start on pole for Sunday’s final, a strong result by Chad Bradley, racing the TLR 8ight 2.0 this weekend, he may have been around a while but he can still teach the young pretenders a thing or two about 1/8 Offroad! Cavalieri is the big name that missed the cut for the Amain so will have to try his luck and bump thru the ‘B’, Franco-American Savoya qualified 22nd and the Best Finn award goes to Teemu Leino in 18th; out-Finning JQ who could only manage 26th… Perhaps he’ll be higher up in buggy when he runs his own brand!
