First round of the Swedish “South Cup” was held in Denmark on the well-known NXC track in Hilleroed (www.hrcr.dk). Drivers from Sweden, Norway and Denmark attended the race. Some strong drivers in the line up like Rune Karlsen from Norway who just won in Holland, Robert Gustafsson and Christoffer Svensson from Sweden and many others. The weather was super with the sun shining throughout the race and a great way to kick off the 2011 season. This race was fully booked within the first day after announcement and everyone was exited to get their new cars out for racing. The pole man for the final, Peter Harder and his Xray powered by Novarossi had a great race and took advantage of a home track and lead from the very first lap of the 45 minutes final and took the top spot. TQ went to Rune Gustavsen who for this season changed from Xray to Kyosho. Junior title went to the talented Martin S. Hansen who for this season races THE Car.
