Our Italian friends over at RC Revolution have gotten their hands on the latest engine to come out of the Sirio stable – now apparently home to engine guru Mario Rossi, once of Novarossi, GRP & a few other brands… Anyway, starting off with the CL7B’s cooling head which bears a striking resemblance to the old O’Donnell cooling heads (all the rage in the early 2000s). The crankcase is black coated, features double-shielded front and rear ceramic ball bearings for greater life and a 5-port construction. The crankshaft is specially coated together with red silicone to reduce inertia and according to Google Translate, “The crank, entirely covered with coating curing, has a comma.“.
