Following lengthy preparation time the Dutch Open Indoor 2011 is a great success. Thursday saw the track take a beating after practice but remained useable. Friday saw the best time for truggy set by Matthias Reckward (00:38.707) with Daniel Reckward (00:36.917) setting the fastest for buggy. Overall TQ after quailification for truggy was (05:23.150) Rune Karlsen and Buggy was taken by (05:17.786) Marcel Guske. We also understand that the track changed from bumpy to heavy throughout the event with lap times plunging from 37 to 42. The finals were very exciting with Rune Karlsen (truggy) taking the lead and the win, 2 laps ahead. Buggy on the other hand saw a very interesting race between Daniel Reckward, Karsen Keller, Marcel Guske and Rune Karlsen with Karsten taking the win with a 3 second lead. We would also like to congratulate seven year old Burak Kilic, who made the A final after personally preparing his car. Many thanks also go to the members of ORMCO (who built the track) and the management of Manege “Rust Roest” for their hospitality and kindness. Read More…
