This weekend saw the 1st round of the RC Pro Series at Thunder Alley Raceway in Beaumont. Tekno RC was victorious and took home the win in the 1/8th Electric Buggy Class Triple AAA Mains!!! Mugen’s Drew Moller was piloting the new MBX6 Tekno RC brushless kit (release date and info soon), and he was flying. Drew went on a tear during the first of 3 A Mains. Qualifying 2nd, he slowly closed in on and subsequently passed class TQ, Kevin Gahan of Team Losi. Drew stretched out his lead from there, to take 1st place in the 1st main. The 2nd round played out in a similar fashion as Drew worked to take the lead and never looked back. The 2nd win meant Drew and Tekno RC had clinched the #1 podium spot without Drew even having to run the 3rd main. Drew was running the new Tekno RC Lektron 2200kv buggy motor in his Elektri-Clutch equipped Tekno RC MBX6 brushless buggy. Speaking of Drew Moller, he is also leading the 1/8th Electric Buggy class in the JBRL Series. Drew is quite possibly the most talented young driver on the RC racing circuit right now. He finished 4th in the Pro Nitro Buggy A Main and 4th in the Pro Nitro Truggy A Main this weekend as well. Congratulations Drew!!! Our next stop is Bakersfield, CA. for the 3rd round of the Nitro JBRL series and then round 2 of the RC Pro Series at ARC raceway in Temecula, CA.
